An early start was required on Saturday, 12th
April, as we had to return the hire car to Houston airport, find the Princess
cruises desk and board our transfer to Houston pier.
Lady Luck was with us as we headed into the Houston airport
district – we were able to find our way to the rental cars without a
hitch! Although early for our transfer
to the pier, we were able to get checked in and board the bus and head off,
boarding the Caribbean Princess, our home for the next seven days. The layout of this ship is very similar to
the Crown Princess, which we had sailed on in 2012, so it felt familiar
straight away…..
The weather was hot and sunny, as soon as we boarded we
headed for the buffet lunch. Princess
had given us a complimentary room upgrade, so we found ourselves luxuriating in
a premium balcony room on 10th deck!
Very nice!
Our ship was soon underway, and we found ourselves on the
top deck at the Sailaway Party…..
